All of our veg boxes consist of organic produce from our supplier based in Stroud and produce is sourced as locally as possible. The only exceptions are ginger, turmeric root & garlic for which we cannot find a UK grower/supplier!

All the fruit & veg will be seasonal & what is available for that week but will be a mix of root & leafy veg & whatever fruit is in season at that time!

This typical box pictured is £18 & suitable for a couple/small family. This contains potatoes, beetroot, leeks, beetroot, onions, cauliflower, purple sprouting broccoli, ginger root & turmeric root.

A larger box can be made for £25 to contain 2 extra varieties & larger portions.

Orders for boxes need to be made by 8pm on a Friday for  collection which will be available from the following Tuesday. Please note in the comments any veg that you do NOT like so we can arrange an alternative.

  • All orders must be paid for before collection

  • We’ll then e mail you when your order is ready to be collected.
  • If you cannot collect for a few days then your box will be kept refrigerated.

By popular demand we can now add a Malvern Sour loaf from ‘Peter Cooks Bread’. Made with organic flours.

A payment link will be sent to you after you have placed your order as we need to  pay for the veg at the time we place your order with them.

Description

j

Organic is a system of farming and food production. Organic farmers aim to produce high-quality food, using methods that benefit our whole food system, from people to planet, plant health to animal welfare.

In the face of climate change, diet related ill-health and widespread decline in wildlife, the need to change our food systems has never been greater – a transition towards ‘agroecological’ farming systems, like organic, can make a world of difference.

No other defined system of farming and food production comes close to delivering so many benefits for wildlife, society and the natural world. Organic farmers work to a strict set of standards, which must legally comply with strict EU regulation, to ensure that their farms sustain the health of:

  • Soils,
  • Ecosystems
  • Animals
  • People

These standards are built on the key principles of organic agriculture:

  • Health
  • Ecology
  • Care
  • Fairness

Certification is legally required to grow, process or market organic products, and all organic farms and companies are inspected by a certification body, at least once a year. This means when you see the organic symbol, you can trust that the food and drink you buy has been made in a way that is better for people, animals and wildlife, and respects the natural environment.
